Franchize Directions was proud to bring Greg Nathan to South Africa in October 2009.

Greg Nathan is internationally regarded as a foremost expert on the people issues in franchising. He has written several popular books on the practical aspects of managing and leading a franchise system including Profitable Partnerships. Greg is a registered psychologist and Managing Director of the Franchise Relationships Institute. It was established to help franchisors better manage the people issues in their franchise systems, particularly their relationships with their franchisees. To this end the Institute offers a range of publications, training programmes and management tools, developed from its ongoing research into the factors that influence franchisee and franchisor success.

Field Manager Summit


The first Field Manager Summit was held at the Indaba Hotel on the 8th & 9th of November 2010. The two day seminar was held for Franchise field managers who wished to further develop their knowledge of franchise relationships and sharpen their skills in field visits. The summit was attended by 55 delegates who enjoyed presentations from Mike Said of Brand Strategies, Daphna Horowitz of Peac Solutions, John Baladakis of Pick ‘n Pay as well as Brenda Macqueen and Elana Koral of Franchize Directions. The summit was both enjoyable and informative, and we look forward to holding another Field Manager Summit in the coming year.
